With the year refreshed, it's time again to renew my annual goal for reading 12 books in 12 months. And this time, I'll try to not repeat my previous failure. So far, I've read zero of twelve but am on track. My kindle awaits.
What will I read for January? I've started "enough" by Patrick Rhone. It's relatively short and has been on my to-read list for a while, having purchased it years ago. Once I finish it, I'll say I’ve read, "enough," yet one book isn’t enough to reach my goal (Ha). But seriously, it’s a great read so far.
Somewhere in between work, trading Pokémon cards, playing RPGs, managing a household, blogging, learning HTML, and raising a family, I must squeeze in some nice, quiet down time, burying myself within the comfy pages of an ebook. Sounds good, especially when warm, sweet coffee is added to the mix.
A good read. A good drink. That sounds like enough to me.
I have accepted the annual Goodreads Reading Challenge for twelve years now, starting in 2013. In the past eleven challenges, I completed only three. But overall, I read many books, so that's good.
And while my goal is 12 books this year, I'll feel accomplished if I read just three since that would be more than the two I read last year. The bar is kind of low. My book backlog has more than three books on it; I have no excuse to not read at least that many in 2024.
After I read, "enough," I'll read more.
