A Rare Backlog Of Books

When I mention the backlog, it's usually about video games I own yet haven't played. But today it's about books, which is a unique situation for me. I've found a few books on sale this year and snapped them up, adding to my Kindle library. And I've been too distracted busy to read them.

So now I have two backlogs: one for games, another for books. Let's hope I don't add movies to the list!

What am I to do? Somehow, I'll simply have to find a way to squeeze in reading time. Yet I have been reading! My focus has been to catch up on my daily Bible reading plan. I set out to read the Bible in a year and fell behind by 46 days! I can be such a slacker. But it's easy to get sidetracked when "life" happens.

Amidst blogging, gaming, html practicing, and Bible progressing, I must somehow add book reading to my task list. Sure, no problem.

Seriously, though, I think the only way I'll read backlogged books is when I free up time from gaming and slow down on blogging a bit. But note that I'm not at all trying to complete my annual Goodreads Reading Challenge of twelve books read this year (one per month).

That said, there are four books on my backlog, and there happens to be four months left in this year after August. So maybe I can clear the book-log by the end of 2023. It's a goal I could make, but I won't do so officially.

Here's what I own yet haven't read (keep in mind there are other books on my to-read list that I'm watching to see if they go on sale, so I might add to the book-back-log at any time):

None of these are very long reads. So knocking them all out this year should be feasible. But we'll see. If I manage it, then I'll likely share some thoughts about them on the blog.
